When one partner answers a Flamme daily question, the other answers the same question 88% of the time, and the median gap between their two answers is 45 minutes.
Reply times come from a random sample of about 11,000 answer pairs. Data: 2,722,793 answers, 2 February 2023 to 14 October 2026. How we did this.

what does it mean for couples?
Most partners are paying attention. Nine in ten couples who get the same question both answer it within a day, so a slow reply is more often a busy afternoon than a signal.
If you are the one who waits anxiously, it can help to know the middle of the range is about 45 minutes. If your partner replies in hours rather than minutes, that is still well inside normal.

Flamme is a couples app where both partners answer the same daily question and then see each other's answer. We analysed 2,722,793 answers to 1,919 questions from 88,622 people, written between 2 February 2023 to 14 October 2026. Reply times come from a random sample of about 11,000 answer pairs. Everything is a count or an average. Flamme users chose a couples app, so they are not a random sample of all couples, and most answers are in English. In Flamme's data the median gap between partners answering the same question is 45 minutes, 53% answer within an hour and 89% within a day. Anything inside a day is common.
