official vs flamme: one of these two still exists
Short version: you cannot compare these two as live products any more. Official, the couples app Bumble bought in 2023, was shut down in May 2025 and is gone from both app stores. So this page does the useful thing instead and maps what Official did onto what still runs, Flamme included. We make Flamme, so read the bias disclosure and hold us to it.

what happened to official
Bumble announced it had acquired Official in May 2023 and ran it alongside Bumble and Badoo. On the fourth-quarter 2024 earnings call, reported by TechCrunch on 19 February 2025, Bumble said it was discontinuing Official and Fruitz to focus on its two main apps, and put the cost at roughly a 12 million dollar revenue headwind for the year. The app shut down that May. Our own coverage at the time gave the date as 9 May 2025, and we could not find an independent source confirming the exact day, so treat the month as solid and the day as ours.
What is certain is the state of it now. On 5 September 2026 we checked both stores: the Play listing 404s, an App Store lookup returns nothing, and officialapp.io serves no page. Watch out for a name collision while you search, since there is an unrelated app called Official Relationship Tracker+ from a different publisher that has nothing to do with Bumble's Official.
That is the whole story, and it matters more than any feature table. A relationship app holds your streaks, your answers and your anniversaries. When the parent company decides it is not core, all of that goes with it. Ask any app you are about to trust who owns it and what happens to your data if they stop.
what official actually did
Official was a couples app built around a daily question you both answered, plus date planning and a place to keep shared memories and milestones. It leaned affectionate and light rather than clinical. Couples used it as a small daily ritual, which is exactly why the shutdown stung.
We are describing it in the past tense on purpose. We are not going to publish a spec sheet for an app nobody can install and check.
how flamme lines up against what you lost
Daily question: Flamme has the same answer-privately-then-reveal mechanic, with over 1500 questions across decks that run from gentle to properly spicy. Milestones: days together, streaks and moods live on home-screen widgets on both phones. Shared memories: Flamme keeps your answers and moments in the app rather than in a separate scrapbook product.
Two things Official never had. Flamme ships couple games and quizzes, and it ships Flamme AI, a love coach you can ask about the actual argument you are having. There is a free version of that coach on this site, so you can judge it before installing anything.
pricing and platforms, plainly
Flamme is free to start on iPhone and Android, with a paid tier that unlocks the full question libraries and heavier AI use. We are not going to print a price here that drifts out of date. Check the App Store or Google Play listing for what your region pays today.
Official is not on either store any more, so if you find something calling itself Official, check the publisher name before you install it.
who should not pick flamme
If what you liked about Official was the calm, tidy structure, Paired is a better fit than we are. It is quieter, more editorial, and it feels like a short programme rather than a game night. If you want the absolute minimum, one question a day and nothing else, Agape is built for that. If you mostly wanted the shared album and a couple-only chat, Between is closer to what you had.
We would rather you land somewhere that sticks than install Flamme, ignore it for a fortnight and decide the whole category is not for you.

good questions, answered
Yes. Bumble said on 19 February 2025 that it was discontinuing Official and Fruitz to focus on Bumble and Badoo, as TechCrunch reported, and the app shut down that May. We rechecked on 5 September 2026: it is delisted on the App Store and Google Play and its website no longer loads.
