how to build a jenga date night

Pick the format

Set the scene
Stable table (or flat lawn), good lighting, snacks at safe distance from the collapse radius, playlist that won't make anyone's hands shake.

Stack the stakes
Pre-agree the collapse forfeit: dish duty, next-date planning rights, or a 5-minute massage. The tower needs consequences to generate drama.

Photograph the fall
Burst mode on the final pulls. Mid-collapse faces are the best couple photos you'll take this year.

- 1. The prompt tower: blocks carry questions and dares - our couples Jenga guide has 60 ready to copy.
- 2. Giant Jenga: oversized blocks (buy, or cut from a 2x4 into 27 pieces of 3:1 ratio), played on flat ground. The collapse is an EVENT - neighbors will look.
- 3. The forfeit tower: every block has a tiny instant dare (speak in rhyme until next turn, swap seats, compliment battle round). The game accelerates into chaos beautifully.
- 4. The record build: cooperative mode - combine two sets and build the tallest freestanding tower you can before physics files an objection. Record the height; beat it next quarter.
- 5. The memory tower: one blank set; every anniversary, holiday, or milestone adds one block written with that moment. It gets played once a year and it's the only Jenga game where you're both delighted to lose slowly.
