Do we have to drink alcohol?

Not at all. The prompts are the actual game - the sips are just the scoreboard. Wine, cocktails, mocktails, juice, or water all work identically. Playing 'drink if' with terrible mocktails you made each other is its own genre of date night.

What makes a good couples drinking game?

Prompts about your shared history, not generic party dares. 'Drink if you remember what I wore on our first date - prove it first' beats 'drink if you're wearing black'. Every card in this deck assumes exactly two players who know each other.

Any house rules you recommend?

Three good ones: water round every ten cards, a 'veto' each per game, and the amnesty rule - anything confessed during the game can't be brought up in an argument later. Play responsibly and know your limits.
